✧ To Whom the Spoils Belong

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ:
كَتَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ إِلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ: " أَنِ اقْسِمْ لِمَنْ وَافَاكَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَقَّأْ قَتْلَى فَارِسَ
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab wrote to Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas: 'Distribute to those Muslims who reach you as long as the slain of Persia have not burst open.'
