✧ Jihad of women, killing, and assassination

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،
وَسُئِلَ عَنْ جِهَادِ النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَ: " كُنَّ يَشْهَدْنَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَيُدَاوِينَ الْجَرْحَى، وَيَسْقِينَ الْمُقَاتِلَةَ، وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ مَعَهُ بِامْرَأَةٍ قُتِلَتْ، وَقَدْ قَاتَلْنَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ يَوْمَ الْيَرْمُوكِ حِينَ رَهَقَهُمْ جُمُوعُ الرُّومِ حَتَّى خَالَطُوا عَسْكَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَضَرَبَ النِّسَاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِالسُّيُوفِ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ ؓ
Translation
✧ And he was asked about the jihad of women, and he said: "They used to attend with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, tending the wounded and giving water to the fighters, and I have not heard of any woman being killed with him. The women of Quraysh fought on the day of al-Yarmuk, when the masses of the Romans pressed upon them until they intermingled with the Muslim camp, and on that day the women struck with swords during the caliphate of 'Umar ؓ."
