Translation
✧ Abu Ayyub al-Ansari used to go on expeditions with Yazid b. Mu'awiyah. He fell ill while with him, and Yazid entered to visit him. He said to him: 'What is your need?' He said: 'When I die, carry me into the enemy's land as far as you can, then bury me.' He said: 'When he died, he carried him until he penetrated a day's journey or part of a day into Byzantine territory, then he dismounted and buried him.'
