عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:
أَمَرَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بِقَتْلِ حُجْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيِّ فَقَالَ حُجْرٌ: " لَا تَحُلُّوا عَنِّي قَيْدًا - أَوْ قَالَ: حَدِيدًا -، وَكَفِّنُونِي بِدَمِي وَثِيَابِي
Translation
✧ Mu'awiya ordered the killing of Hujr b. 'Adi al-Kindi. Hujr said: 'Do not loosen any fetter—or he said: any iron—from me, and shroud me in my blood and my garments.'
