عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَفْصٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:
مَا تَعُدُّونَ الشَّهِيدَ فِيكُمْ ؟ قَالُوا: مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ قَالَ: " إِنَّ شُهَدَاءَ أُمَّتِي إِذًا لَقَلِيلٌ، مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ، وَالْمَطْعُونُ شَهِيدٌ، وَالْمَبْطُونُ شَهِيدٌ وَالْغَرِقُ شَهِيدٌ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ تَمُوتُ بِجُمْعٍ شَهِيدٌ
Translation
✧ What do you count as a martyr among you? They said: One who is killed in the way of God is a martyr. He said: “Then the martyrs of my community are few. One who is killed in the way of God is a martyr; the one who dies of plague is a martyr; the one who dies of a belly ailment is a martyr; the one who drowns is a martyr; and the woman who dies in childbirth is a martyr.”
