✧ The reward of martyrdom

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ أَرْوَاحَ الشُّهَدَاءِ فِي صُوَرِ طُيُورٍ بِيضٍ، تَأْكُلُ مِنْ ثِمَارِ الْجَنَّةِ ". وَقَالَ الْكَلْبِيُّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: فِي صُورَةِ طُيُورٍ بِيضٍ تَأْوِي إِلَى قَنَادِيلَ مُعَلَّقَةٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from Qatādah, who said:
✧ It has reached us that the souls of the martyrs are in the forms of white birds, eating from the fruits of Paradise. And al-Kalbi said, from the Prophet ﷺ: In the form of white birds that resort to lanterns suspended beneath the Throne.
