عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ قَالَ:
كُنَّا عِنْدَ قَارِئٍ يَقْرَأُ، فَمَرَّ بِهَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: ﴿فَضَّلَ اللهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ ﴾إِلَى ﴿وَمَغْفِرَةً وَرَحْمَةً ﴾فَقَالَ لِلْقَارِئِ: " قِفْ، بَلَغَنِي أَنَّهَا سَبْعُونَ دَرَجَةً بَيْنَ كُلِّ دَرَجَتَيْنِ سَبْعُونَ عَامًا لِلْجَوَادِ الْمُضَمَّرِ
Translation
✧ We were with a reciter who was reciting, and he came to this verse: 'Allah has preferred the strivers' up to 'and forgiveness and mercy.' He said to the reciter: 'Stop. It has reached me that it is seventy degrees, between each two degrees seventy years for a swift, well-trained horse.'
