✧ The merit of jihad

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْقُدُّوسِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَكْحُولًا يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنَا بَعْضُ الصَّحَابَةِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
مَنْ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ قُتِلَ أَوْ مَاتَ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ، وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ بَلَغَ الْعَدُوَّ أَوْ قَصُرَ كَانَ كَعِدْلِ رَقَبَةٍ، وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ كُلِمَ كَلْمَةً جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رِيحُهَا مِثْلُ الْمِسْكِ، وَلَوْنُهَا مِثْلُ الزَّعْفَرَانِ
Translation
✧ Whoever fights in the path of God for the interval between two milkings of a camel, whether he is killed or dies, enters Paradise. Whoever shoots an arrow that reaches the enemy or falls short, it is like freeing a slave. Whoever grows a gray hair in the path of God, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever is wounded, the wound will come on the Day of Resurrection with its scent like musk and its color like saffron.
