عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ مُرَّةَ، أَنَّ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ حَدَّثَهُمْ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ نَفْسٌ مَنْفُوسَةٌ تَمُوتُ لَهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ تَعَالَى خَيْرٌ تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَلَهَا الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا الْقَتِيلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فَيُقْتَلَ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً
Translation
✧ There is no living soul on earth for whom death with God Almighty is better, and who would love to return to you even if it had the world, except the one killed in the path of God; for he would love to return and be killed one more time.
