✧ The merit of jihad

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ - وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ - كَالْقَائِمِ الصَّائِمِ، وَتَكَفَّلَ اللهُ لِلْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِهِ أَنْ يَتَوَفَّاهُ فَيُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ، أَوْ يُرْجِعَهُ سَالِمًا بِمَا أَصَابَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ
Translation
✧ The likeness of the one who strives in the path of God—and God knows best who strives in His path—is that of one who stands in prayer and fasts. God has guaranteed for the one who strives in His path that if He takes him in death, He will admit him to Paradise, or He will return him safe with whatever he has obtained of reward or spoils.
