✧ Misappropriation of booty

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا عَمْرَةَ مَوْلَى الْأَنْصَارِ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يَقُولُ:
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِخَيْبَرَ فَمَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ، فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَيْهِ، فَذَهَبُوا يَنْظُرُونَ فِي مَتَاعِهِ، فَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ خَرَزًا مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودَ مَا يُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ
Translation
✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Khaybar when a man from Ashjaʿ died, and the Prophet ﷺ did not pray over him. They went to inspect his belongings and found among them beads from the beads of the Jews worth no more than two dirhams.
