عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ:
أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ سُئِلَ عَنْ سَهْمِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى قَالَ: " كَانَ لَنَا فَمَنَعْنَاهُ قَوْمَنَا، فَدَعَانَا عُمَرُ فَقَالَ: يُنْكَحُ فِيهِ أَيَامَاكُمْ، وَيُعْطَى فِيهِ غَارِمُكُمْ، فَأَبَيْنَا فَأَبَى عُمَرُ ؓ
Translation
✧ Ibn 'Abbas was asked about the share of the near relatives, and he said: 'It was ours, but our people denied it to us. So 'Umar summoned us and said: "Your widows may be married from it, and your debtors may be paid from it." We refused, and 'Umar ؓ refused.'
