✧ Plunder and single combat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ:
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَبَّهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ: مَنْ يَكْفِينِي عَدُوِّي ؟ " فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: أَنَا، فَبَارَزَهُ الزُّبَيْرُ فَقَتَلَهُ، فَأَعْطَاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَلَبَهُ.
Translation
✧ A man from the polytheists insulted the Prophet ﷺ, so he said: 'Who will suffice me against my enemy?' Al-Zubayr said: 'I will.' So al-Zubayr fought him in single combat and killed him, and the Prophet ﷺ gave him the man's spoils.
