✧ A man has no water: how long should he wait

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، وَابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ
أَنَّهُ اعْتَمَرَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، وَأَنَّ عُمَرَ عَرَّسَ فِي بَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ قَرِيبًا مِنْ بَعْضِ الْمِيَاهِ فَاحْتَلَمَ، فَاسْتَيْقَظَ فَقَالَ: أَتَرَوْنَا نُدْرِكُ الْمَاءَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: فَأَسْرَعَ السَّيْرَ،
Translation
✧ He performed Umrah with Umar b. al-Khattab, and Umar camped at night on the way near some water sources and had a wet dream. He woke up and said: 'Do you think we can reach water before sunrise?' They said: 'Yes.' Ma'mar said: So he hastened the journey.
