✧ A man has no water: how long should he wait
941 933 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ مِثْلَهُ.

حَدَّثَنَا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَصَابَتْهُ جَنَابَةٌ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ مَاءٌ فَقَالَ أَتَرَوْنَا لَوْ رَفَعْنَا أَنْ نُدْرِكَ الْمَاءَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَرَفَعُوا دَوَابَّهُمْ فَجَاءُوا قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ فَاغْتَسَلَ عُمَرُ وَصَلَّى سند مخفيعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَ
Translation
✧ Someone who was with Umar b. al-Khattab on a journey told us: He became junub and had no water with him. He said: 'Do you think that if we ride hard, we will reach water before sunrise?' They said: 'Yes.' So they spurred on their mounts and arrived before sunrise, and Umar performed ghusl and prayed.
