machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad b. al-Muntashir, from Ibn al-Aqmar, or from his father, and from al-Aswad b. Qays, from al-Aqmar, who said:
✧ Horses raided in Syria. The thoroughbreds caught up the same day, and the workhorses caught up by mid-morning of the following day. Al-Mundhir b. Abi Hamza al-Hamdani, who was in command of the people, said: I will not make the share of one who caught up like one who did not. He wrote about that to Umar b. al-Khattab, and Umar wrote back: May his mother be bereft of the Wadi'i—he has achieved it. Carry it out as he said.
