✧ A man goes to battle while his father disapproves

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:
أَشَدُّ حَدِيثٍ سَمِعْنَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: قَوْلُهُ فِي سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، وَقَوْلُهُ فِي أَمْرِ الْقَبْرِ، لَمَّا كَانَتْ غَزْوَةُ تَبُوكَ قَالَ: " لَا يَخْرُجُ مَعَنَا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ مُقْوٍ " قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى بَكْرٍ لَهُ صَعْبٍ، فَصَرَعَهُ، فَمَاتَ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: الشَّهِيدُ، الشَّهِيدُ، فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِلَالًا أَنْ يُنَادِيَ فِي النَّاسِ: لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَاصٍ
Translation
✧ The harshest hadith we heard from the Prophet ﷺ," he said, "was his statement about Saʿd b. Muʿādh, and his statement about the matter of the grave. When it was the expedition of Tabūk, he said: 'No one shall go out with us except a man who is strong.'" He said: "A man went out on a difficult young camel of his, and it threw him down, and he died. The people said: 'A martyr, a martyr.' The Prophet ﷺ ordered Bilāl to call out among the people: 'A disobedient one will not enter Paradise.'"
