✧ A man goes to battle while his father disapproves

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ،
أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْغَزْوَ، وَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ أَسْتَشِيرُكَ، قَالَ: " هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ أُمٍّ ؟ " قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: الْزَمْهَا فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ عِنْدَ رِجْلِهَا، ثُمَّ الثَّانِيَةَ، ثُمَّ الثَّالِثَةَ كَذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, I want to go on a military expedition, and I have come to consult you. He said: "Do you have a mother?" He said: Yes. He said: "Stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet." Then he repeated this a second and a third time.
