عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ قَالَ:
اجْتَمَعَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ، فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ لِأَبِي سَلَمَةَ: حَدِّثْ فَإِنَّا سَنَتْبَعُكَ، قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِذَا كَانَ ثَلَاثَةٌ فِي سَفَرٍ فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ، وَإِنْ كَانَ أَصْغَرَهُمْ، فَإِذَا أَمَّهُمْ فَهُوَ أَمِيرُهُمْ " قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ: " فَذَاكُمْ أَمِيرٌ أَمَّرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
Translation
✧ Abu Salamah b. 'Abd al-Rahman and Sa'id b. Jubayr met. Sa'id said to Abu Salamah, 'Narrate, for we will follow you.' Abu Salamah said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'When there are three on a journey, let the one among them most versed in the Qur'an lead them, even if he is the youngest of them. If he leads them, he is their commander.' Abu Salamah said: 'That is a commander whom the Messenger of God ﷺ appointed.'
