machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from al-Thawrī, from Muḥammad b. ʿAjlān, from Abān b. Ṣāliḥ, from Khālid b. Maʿdān, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

✧ Indeed, Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness, and is pleased with it, and aids upon it what He does not aid upon harshness. So when you ride these dumb beasts, alight with them at their resting places. If the land is barren, then escape upon them with their marrow. Upon you is traveling by night, for the earth is folded up by night what is not folded up by day. Beware of making camp for the night on the road, for it is the path of beasts and the abode of snakes.
