✧ What constitutes ilhad, and whoever enters it is safe

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: وَمَا ﴿وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ آمِنًا ﴾؟ قَالَ: " يَأْمَنُ فِيهِ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ دَخَلَهُ قَالَ: وَإِنْ أَصَابَ فِيهِ دَمًا ؟ فَقَالَ: " إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ قَتَلَ فِي الْحَرَمِ، فَقُتِلَ فِيهِ، قَالَ: وَتَلَا: ﴿عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ ﴾فَإِنْ كَانَ قَتَلَ فِي غَيْرِهِ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَهُ أَمِنَ، حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِنْهُ
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: What does 'And whoever enters it is safe' mean? He said: 'Everything that enters it is safe.' He said: 'Even if he had shed blood in it?' He said: 'Unless he killed within the Haram, then he is killed within it.' He said: And he recited: '…near the Sacred Mosque until they fight you within it.' So if he killed elsewhere and then entered it, he is safe until he leaves it.
