Translation
✧ A man from the pilgrims cut a tree in his dwelling in Mina — or he said a tree. He said: So I took him to ʿUmar b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz and told him his story. He said: He spoke the truth; it had cramped our dwellings and our lodgings. He said: Then ʿUmar became angry with him, then... except his religion.
