✧ Entering the House and Praying in It

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَشْعَثُ بْنُ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ:
جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَمْشِي بَيْنَ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَبِلَالٍ حَتَّى دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ وَفِيهَا خَشَبَةٌ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ بِلَالٌ سَأَلْتُهُ، كَيْفَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: قَالَ: " تَرَكَ مِنَ الْخَشَبَةِ ثُلُثَهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَصَلَّى فِي الثُّلُثِ الْبَاقِي " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: كَمْ صَلَّى ؟ قَالَ: لَمْ أَسْأَلْ بِلَالًا عَنْهَا
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ came walking between Usama b. Zayd and Bilal until he entered the Kaʿbah, and inside it there was a crossbeam. When Bilal came out, I asked him: 'What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do?' He said: 'He left one third of the beam on his right and prayed in the remaining two thirds.' He said: I said: 'How many rakʿahs did he pray?' He said: 'I did not ask Bilal about that.'
