✧ Drinking During Circumambulation and What Is Said During the Days of Hajj

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي شَيْخٌ مُؤَذِّنٌ لِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ الْأَزْدِيِّ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ فَقَالَ: هِيَ هِيَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ! مَا هِيَ هِيَ؟ قَالَ: ﴿وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ التَّقْوَى وَكَانُوا أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهْلَهَا ﴾
Translation
✧ I heard Ibn Umar say: There is no god but God, and God is greatest. He said: That is it. I said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman, what is 'that is it'? He said: 'And He bound them to the word of piety, and they were more entitled to it and worthy of it' [Quran 48:26].
