أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ نُسَيْرِ بْنِ ذُعْلُوقٍ:
أَنَّ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ رَأَى النَّاسَ يَمْسَحُونَ الْمَقَامَ فَنَهَاهُمْ، وَقَالَ: " إِنَّكُمْ لَمْ تُؤْمَرُوا بِالْمَسْحِ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُمْ بِالصَّلَاةِ
Translation
✧ Ibn al-Zubayr saw people wiping the Station and forbade them, saying: 'You were not commanded to wipe it.' He said: 'You were only commanded to pray.'
