عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ، يَكْرَهُ الْجِوَارَ بِمَكَّةَ، قَالَ زَكَرِيَّا: فَسَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا لِمَ... عَامِرٌ يَكْرَهُ الْجِوَارَ بِمَكَّةَ ؟ قَالَ: مِنْ أَجْلِ كِتَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَى خُزَاعَةَ: إِنَّ مَنْ أَقَامَ مِنْكُمْ فِي أَهْلِهِ فَهُوَ مُهَاجِرٌ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْكُنَ، إِلَّا فِي حَجٍّ أَوْ عُمْرَةٍ
Translation
✧ I heard al-Shaʿbī dislike residing in Makkah. Zakariyyā said: So I asked Jābir why… Did ʿĀmir dislike residing in Makkah? He said: Because of the Prophet’s ﷺ letter to Khuzāʿah: “Whoever of you stays among his family is a migrant, unless he settles, except for Hajj or ʿumrah.”
