عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ أَبِي بَزَّةَ، ذَكَرَهُ - قَالَ: لَا أَدْرِي أَرَفَعَهُ أَمْ لَا - قَالَ:

إِنَّ اللهَ يُبَاهِي مَلَائِكَتَهُ بِأَهْلِ عَرَفَةَ يَقُولُ: انْظُرُوا إِلَى عِبَادِي أَتَوْنِي شُعْثًا، غُبْرًا، ضَاحِينَ، فَلَا يُرَى أَكْثَرُ عَتِيقًا مِنْ يَوْمِئِذٍ، وَلَا يُغْفَرُ فِيهِ لِمُخْتَالٍ

Translation

✧ God boasts to His angels about the people of Arafah, saying: “Look at My servants: they have come to Me disheveled, dusty, and exposed to the sun.” And there is no day on which more are freed from the Fire than that day, and no forgiveness is given therein to an arrogant person.
