✧ What Came Regarding Eating Rabbit

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ،
أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا جَاءَ بِأَرْنَبٍ قَدْ أَصَابَهَا، أَوْ ذَبَحَهَا بِمَرْوَةٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُهَا، وَبِهَا شَيْءٌ مِنْ دَمٍ، أُرَاهَا تَحِيضُ، فَقَالَ: " كُلُوا " فَقَالُوا: مَا يَمْنَعُكَ مِنْهَا ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِلْأَعْرَابِيِّ: إِنْ كُنْتَ صَائِمًا لَا مَحَالَةَ، فَصُمْ ثَلَاثًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَاجْعَلْهُنَّ الْبِيضَ
Translation
✧ A Bedouin came with a rabbit that he had caught, or slaughtered with a flint, and said: 'O Messenger of God, I caught it and there is some blood on it; I think it menstruates.' He said: 'Eat.' They said: 'What prevents you from it?' He said: 'I am fasting.' Then the Prophet ﷺ said to the Bedouin: 'If you are inevitably fasting, then fast three days of each month, and make them the white days.'
