عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الضَّبُعِ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: آكُلُهَا ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَسَمِعْتَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ
Translation
✧ I asked Jābir b. ʿAbdallāh about the hyena. He said: I said: "May I eat it?" He said: "Yes." He said: I said: "Is it game?" He said: "Yes." He said: I said: "Did you hear that from the Prophet of God ﷺ?" He said: "Yes."
