✧ What Is Cut from the Slaughtered Animal

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْفُرَافِصَةِ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ: قَالَ لِعُمَرَ
إِنَّكُمْ تَذْبَحُونَ ذَبَائِحَ لَا تَحِلُّ، تَعْجَلُونَ عَلَى الذَّبِيحَةِ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ نَتَّقِيَ ذَلِكَ أَبَا حَيَّانَ، الذَّكَاةُ فِي الْحَلْقِ، وَاللَّبَّةُ لِمَنْ قَدَرَ، وَذَرِ الْأَنْفُسَ حَتَّى تَزْهَقَ
Translation
✧ You slaughter animals that are not lawful; you rush upon the slaughter animal. Umar said: 'We are more entitled to guard against that, Abu Hayyan. The slaughter is in the throat and the upper chest for whoever is able. Leave the souls until they depart.'
