عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْأَمَةِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ:

إِذَا أَحَدَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الشَّفْرَةَ فَلَا يُحِدَّهَا، وَالشَّاةُ تَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ

Translation

✧ When one of you sharpens the blade, let him not sharpen it while the sheep is looking at him.
