عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:
رَأَى عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَجُلًا يَسْحَبُ شَاةً بِرِجْلِهَا لِيَذْبَحَهَا، فَقَالَ لَهُ: وَيْلَكَ قُدْهَا إِلَى الْمَوْتِ قَوْدًا جَمِيلًا
Translation
Chain of narrators

✧ Umar b. al-Khattab saw a man dragging a sheep by its leg to slaughter it, and said to him: 'Woe to you! Drive it to death with a gentle driving.'
