عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ ذَبِيحَةِ الْمُسْلِمِ، يَنْسَى أَنْ يَذْكُرَ اسْمَ اللهِ قَالَ: " تُؤْكَلُ إِنَّمَا الذَّبْحُ عَلَى الْمِلَّةِ، أَلَا تَرَى أَنَّ مَجُوسِيًّا لَوْ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَى ذَبِيحَتِهِ لَمْ تُؤْكَلْ
Translation
✧ I asked 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Laila about the slaughter of a Muslim who forgets to mention the name of Allah. He said: "It is eaten. Slaughtering is only upon the religion. Do you not see that if a Magian mentioned the name of Allah over his slaughter, it would not be eaten?"
