✧ The Slaughter of the Vain and Its Casting, and What Cannot Be Slaughtered

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ:
حَيْثُ مَا وَقَعَتْ سِلَاحُكَ مِنْ صَيْدٍ فَكُلْ، وَأَمَّا الْإِنْسِيُّ فَلَا، حَتَّى يُذْبَحَ أَوْ يُنْحَرَ
Translation
✧ Wherever your weapon falls on game, eat it. But as for domesticated animals, no, unless it is slaughtered by cutting the throat or the upper chest.
