عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:
نَزَلَ نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ، وَكَانَ جِهَازُهُ تَحْتَهَا فَقَرَصَتْهُ نَمْلَةٌ، فَأَمَرَ بِجَهَازِهِ فَرُفِعَ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِالشَّجَرَةٍ، فَأُحْرِقَتْ، فَأَوْحَى اللهُ تَعَالَى إِلَيْهِ فَهَلَّا نَمْلَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، يَعْنِي الَّتِي قَرَصَتْهُ
Translation
✧ A prophet among the prophets alighted under a tree, and his baggage was beneath it. An ant bit him, so he ordered his baggage to be lifted, then he ordered the tree, and it was burned. Then Allah, Exalted is He, revealed to him: “Why not just one ant?” – meaning the one that bit him.
