✧ The concession for the muhrim to eat game

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ أَبَاهُ قَالَ:
سَأَلَنِي قَوْمٌ مُحْرِمُونَ عَنْ قَوْمٍ مُحِلِّينَ أَهْدَوْا لَهُمْ صَيْدًا فَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِأَكْلِهِ، ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: " كَيْفَ أَفْتَيْتَهُمْ ؟ " فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: " لَوْ أَفْتَيْتَهُمْ بِغَيْرِهِ لَأَوْجَعْتُكَ
Translation
✧ Some people in ihram asked me about people not in ihram who gifted them game, and I ordered them to eat it. Then I saw Umar and asked him, and he said, "How did you rule for them?" I informed him, and he said, "If you had ruled for them otherwise, I would have caused you pain."
