عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ،
أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ انْطَلَقَ حَاجًّا، فَأَغْلَقَ الْبَابَ عَلَى حَمَامٍ، فَوَجَدَهُنَّ قَدْ مِتْنَ، فَقَضَى فِي كُلِّ حَمَامَةٍ شَاةً
Translation
✧ Uthman b. Affan set out as a pilgrim and locked the door upon pigeons, and found they had died, so he ruled a sheep for each pigeon.
