عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ:
أَيُعَاقِبُ فِيهِ الْإِمَامُ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، ذَنْبٌ أَذْنَبَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ رَبِّهِ "، قَالَ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ أَصْحَابِهِ: " وَلَكِنْ لِيَفْتَدِ
Translation
✧ Does the imam punish him for it? He said: "No. It is a sin he committed between himself and his Lord." Al-Thawri reported from his companions: "But let him offer a ransom."
