عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ:
حَجَجْتُ ثَلَاثَ حِجَجٍ، مَا أَهْرَقْتُ فِيهَا دَمًا قَالَ: وَلَأَنْ أَدَعَهُ وَأَنَا مُوسِرٌ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُضَحِيَّ وَأَنَا مُعْسِرٌ
Translation

✧ I performed Hajj three times and did not shed blood in any of them. He said: To leave it while I am well-off is more beloved to me than to sacrifice while I am in hardship.
