✧ The sacrifices

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ:
مَا كُنَّا نُعْرَفُ إِلَّا بِذَاكَ حَتَّى خَالَطَنَا أَهْلُ الْعِرَاقِ يَقُولُ: كَانَ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ يُضَحُّونَ بِالشَّاةِ فَضَحَّوْا هُمْ عَنْ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ شَاةً
Translation
✧ We were known only for that until the people of Iraq mixed with us. He said: The people of a household used to sacrifice a sheep, so they sacrificed one sheep for each individual.
