✧ The virtue of the ten days, and the standing at 'Arafah in the cities

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ الدَّبَرِيُّ قَالَ: قَرَأْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَا مِنْ عَمَلٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فِي الْعَشْرِ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ، قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ! وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ قَالَ: " وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَا لَمْ تَبْلُغْ قَتْلًا
Translation
✧ There is no deed more excellent than a deed in the ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. It was said, "O Messenger of God, not even jihad in the path of God?" He said, "Not even jihad in the path of God, unless it reaches the point of killing."
