عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
أَعْطَى عَلِيٌّ جَعْدَةَ بْنَ هُبَيْرَةَ سِتَّمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، أَعَانَهُ بِهَا فِي ثَمَنِ خَادِمٍ، فَلَقِيَهُ، فَقَالَ: هَلِ ابْتَعْتَ الْخَادِمَ ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي مُعْتَكِفٌ، فَقَالَ: " وَمَا عَلَيْكَ لَوْ خَرَجْتَ إِلَى السُّوقِ فَابْتَعْتَهَا ؟
Translation
✧ 'Ali gave Ja'da b. Hubayra six hundred dirhams, helping him with it toward the price of a servant. He met him and said: “Have you bought the servant?” He said: “I am in I'tikaf.” He said: “What would it matter to you if you went out to the market and bought her?”
