عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَاتَ وَلَدُهُ أَوْ ذُو قَرَابَتِهِ ؟ فَقَالَ: " سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، أَفَنَدَعُهُ لِيَتْبَعَ جِنَازَتَهُ، وَيَقْطَعَ جِوَارَهُ ؟ "، فَقُلْتُ: " إِنَّهُ لَيُصَلِّي عَلَى جَنَائِزِ النَّاسِ "، قَالَ: " إِنْ كَانَ جِوَارُهُ بِبَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَعَمْ، وَإِنْ كَانَ جِوَارُهُ فِي جَوْفِهِ فَلَا
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said:
✧ I said to 'Ata': 'What do you think if his child or a close relative dies?' He said: 'Glory be to Allah! Should we let him follow the funeral procession and cut off his seclusion?' I said: 'He prays over people's funeral prayers.' He said: 'If his seclusion is at the door of the mosque, then yes; but if his seclusion is in the middle of it, then no.'
