عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ:
لَا اعْتِكَافَ إِلَّا بِصَوْمٍ، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَكَانَ الزُّهْرِيُّ " يُوجِبُهُ عَلَيْهِ نَوَاهُ، أَوْ لَمْ يَنْوِهِ
Translation

✧ There is no i'tikaf except with fasting. Ma'mar said: Al-Zuhri would make it obligatory upon him whether he intended it or not.
