✧ Is spiritual retreat in a mosque to be made up in another?

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ نَذَرَ جِوَارًا فِي مَسْجِدِ مَكَّةَ، أَيَقْضِي عَنْهُ أَنْ يُجَاوِرَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْمَدِينَةِ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، قُلْتُ: فَنَذَرَ جِوَارًا فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ ﷺ أَيَقْضِي عَنْهُ أَنْ يُجَاوِرَ فِي مَسْجِدِ إِلْيَا ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، قُلْتُ: فَنَذَرَ جِوَارًا عَلَى رُءُوسِ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالِ جِبَالِ مَكَّةَ، أَيَقْضِي عَنْهُ أَنْ يُجَاوِرَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمِ، الْمَسْجِدُ خَيْرٌ وَأَطْهَرُ "، قُلْتُ: وَكَذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ أَرْضٍ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَنِي عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ خَبَرَ عَائِشَةَ حِينَ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تُجَاوِرَ فِي جَوْفِ ثَبِيرٍ
Translation
✧ I said to 'Ata': What do you think if he vowed a retreat in the mosque of Makkah, does it fulfill it for him to retreat in the mosque of Madinah? He said: "No." I said: If he vowed a retreat in the mosque of the Messenger ﷺ, does it fulfill it for him to retreat in the mosque of Ilya'? He said: "No." I said: If he vowed a retreat on the tops of these mountains, the mountains of Makkah, does it fulfill it for him to retreat in the mosque? He said: "Yes, the mosque is better and purer." I said: And likewise in every land? He said: "Yes." Then he told me at that point the account of 'A'ishah when she vowed to retreat in the hollow of Thabir.
