عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْفَرَعَةِ: " هِيَ حَقٌّ، وَلَا تَذْبَحْهَا، وَهِيَ غَرَاةٌ مِنَ الْغَرَاءِ تُلْصَقُ فِي يَدِكَ، وَلَكِنْ أَمْكِنْهَا مِنَ اللَّبَنِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَتْ مِنْ خِيَارِ الْمَالِ، فَاذْبَحْهَا
Translation
✧ He said regarding the fara'ah: 'It is a duty, but do not slaughter it while it is a small, glue-like (weak) animal that sticks to your hand. Rather, let it have milk until, when it is among the best of the property, then slaughter it.'
