عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ:
سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْفَرَعِ، فَقَالَ: افْرَعُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ، وَأَنْ تَدَعَهُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ فَيُحْمَلَ عَلَيْهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، أَوْ تَصِلَ بِهِ قَرَابَةً خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَذْبَحَهُ فَيَخْتَلِطَ لَحْمُهُ بِشَعْرِهِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the fara'. He said: 'Offer the fara' if you wish, but to leave it until it matures and is carried on in the way of Allah, or you use it to maintain kinship ties, is better than slaughtering it so that its meat mixes with its hair.'
