عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ " سَمَّى حُسَيْنًا يَوْمَ سَابِعِهِ، وَإِنَّهُ اشْتَقَّ مِنْ حَسَنٍ اسْمَ حُسَيْنٍ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا الْحَمْلُ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad informed me, from his father,
✧ The Prophet ﷺ named Husayn on his seventh day, and he derived the name Husayn from Hasan. He mentioned that there was nothing between them except the pregnancy.
