عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَمَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَا يَسْأَلُهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ عَقِيقَةً إِلَّا أَعْطَاهَا إِيَّاهُ قَالَ: فَكَانَ يَقُولُ: " عَلَى الْغُلَامِ شَاةٌ، وَعَلَى الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ
Translation
✧ Ibn ʿUmar would not be asked by anyone of his family for an ʿaqīqah except that he gave it to him." He said: "He used to say: For a boy a sheep, and for a girl a sheep."
