عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حُدِّثْتُ حَدِيثًا، رُفِعَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:
عَقَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ حَسَنٍ شَاتَيْنِ، وَعَنْ حُسَيْنٍ شَاتَيْنِ ذَبَحَهُمَا يَوْمَ السَّابِعِ "، قَالَ: " وَمَشَقَهُمَا وَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُمَاطَ عَنْ رُءُوسِهِمَا الْأَذَى " قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: اذْبَحُوا عَلَى اسْمِهِ، وَقُولُوا: بِاسْمِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ وَإِلَيْكَ، هَذِهِ عَقِيقَةُ فُلَانٍ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَخْضِبُونَ قُطْنَةً بِدَمِ الْعَقِيقَةِ، فَإِذَا حَلَقُوا الصَّبِيَّ وَضَعُوهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ، فَأَمَرَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ " أَنْ يَجْعَلُوا مَكَانَ الدَّمِ خَلُوقًا، يَعْنِي مَشَقَهُمَا: وُضِعَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِمَا طِينُ مَشَقٍ مِثْلُ الْخَلُوقِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered ʿaqīqah for al-Ḥasan with two sheep and for al-Ḥusayn with two sheep, slaughtering them on the seventh day." She said: "He smeared them and ordered that harm be removed from their heads." She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Slaughter in his name and say: In the name of Allah; O Allah, for You and to You; this is the ʿaqīqah of so-and-so." She said: The people of the Jāhiliyyah used to dye a piece of cotton with the blood of the ʿaqīqah, and when they shaved the infant's head, they would place it on his head. The Prophet ﷺ ordered them to put khāliq (perfume) in place of the blood, meaning by "smeared them": he placed on their heads a clay of mashq similar to khāliq.
